Biography: Nancy Grimes was born in Indiana and attended Indiana University at Bloomington, The University of Chicago and The Art Institute of Chicago. In addition to pursuing her own painting, Grimes teaches painting and drawing at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and has written numerous articles and reviews on a variety of artists for journals like ArtNews and Art in America. She lives in Astoria, Queens with her husband, William Grimes and their six cats.
